It's Not Quite Macy's....

... but Stamford has its own balloon parade the weekend before Thanksgiving (yes, I know I'm behind on the blog updates). Mommy seems to remember the Macy's one being much more interesting, but hey, that's what 25 or so years does to a person's take on gigantic inflated character balloons.

Mommy's always on the look out for fun and excitement. With the colder weather now, it's much harder to find outdoor fun. The parade seemed like a great chance. So Henry, Mommy, Anna & Jacob loaded up, bundled up and headed out.

The wind wasn't blowing as hard as it was the day before, but we still bundled up.

Once the parade got underway, Henry was less than thrilled with the local high school marching bands and "not so recognizable to anyone under 30" balloon selection (Underdog, anyone?).

But then the balloon of honor arrived to great excitement by both Henry & Jacob.

Henry's enthusiastic look says it all....

After the Elmo excitement wore off, we took a quick visit into Mommy's office and posed for photos in the conference room!
