Daddy whipped up a Mexican fiesta and Mommy made sangria.
The guests relaxed and enjoyed the weather before the month of rain started!
And the highlight of the day arrived. Henry loves, I mean loves, ice cream cones, affectionately known as "cone cones." But he has developed a certain fondness for soft serve and resists anything else.
So what are a Mommy & Daddy supposed to do? Have Mister Softee come, of course!
Henry & Daddy even went inside the truck.
Henry got a new favorite - vanilla with sprinkles!
He and cousin Jack enjoyed the cones and discussed the high quality of Mister Softee.
Daddy promised Henry he could have 2 cone cones, so he moved onto chocolate.
As if the cones weren't enough, he then started stealing banana split!
Once everyone ate their ice cream, Henry opened his gifts and was delighted to get a truck he could drive!
Mommy decided we didn't need a big cake with all that ice cream, so she made these Elmo & Cookie Monster cupcakes that were a big hit with Henry's friends at daycare too.

And I think you may have started a tradition -- an ice cream cone for every year. Next June...3 cones!
