Silas came to visit recently and it coincided with a maple syrup festival not too far away. It was supposed to be informative and teach the attendees about how maple syrup is made. The only part that seemed to sink in with Henry was that the syrup was from trees. Two days later, he told me that he had fun at the pancakes from the trees.
For the boys, the highlight of the event was of course the all-you-can-eat pancakes. They also ate their share of sausage & juice.
Before we ventured outside, the boys happily read some books,
and posed for photos on the old tractor.
Once we saw & tasted the sap from the trees, we went for a walk around the pond. The boys were happy to pose & throw sticks.
It was off to the playscape to burn off even more energy before lunch.
And apparently discuss something in great detail.
Even though Henry's face clearly shows his enthusiasm, the best part of this photo is the Mommy shadow (both of them!) trying to get blog worthy photos!

Yes, it was like herding cats to get "good" photos, wasn't it?! Glad we got to hang out with you and share the toddler love of sausages.
