They went to the carnival, where Henry introduced Daniel to the joys of amusement rides. Daniel clearly got the hang of it quickly.
They even listened and held hands in line together.
And of course there was fair food!
Daniel smiled happily for his birthday cake -- featuring a favorite food group: Goldfish!
Henry was thrilled with Daniel's gift -- a new outdoor chair -- so Daniel could stop stealing Henry's!
They were also very impatient for the pool to open this year. Pointing out how cold the pool water would be, Mommy suggested they try the sprinkler. Silly Mommy. Boys like cold water!

Love Daniel's expression on the ride. And Henry's too as he takes a big bite of cotton candy. We'll be up for the Berlin Fair if the boys don't go to NY, I'm sure we could re-create some of those photos.
