Henry's First Christmas

As most of you already know, Henry is one of the most easy-going babies in the world. This sometimes lulls us into thinking that he will always be like this. For some reason, Henry decided that Christmas was just not a holiday that should be wasted napping. Which pretty much made it the most unbearable holiday Mommy & Daddy have ever had....culminating with Domino's pizza as their Christmas dinner! Welcome to parenthood I guess.

Before things took their turn for the worse, Henry did enjoy himself, showing off his new velvet jacket. Christmas Eve started off cheerfully:

We opened presents at Grandma & Grandpa's on Christmas morning.

As anticipated, Henry's first Christmas was marked by a distinct preference for wrapping paper and packaging rather than the gift inside.

Mmmmm...bubble wrap. Don't go calling DCF; we took it away after the photo.

After a several hour unsuccessful attempt to nap back at home, we headed out to visit Daddy's family. In a good 5 minute window, Henry decided to pose for the camera and share a special Christmas hug with cousin Jack.

A bonus shot of Auntie Beth. What, you ask, makes a 29 year old woman this happy on Christmas morning? Gucci, Prada, dinner at an exclusive New York City restaurant, an all expense paid vacation?? Wrong. It's the Harry Potter series in hardcover with matching trunk. Yes, seriously.

I love the blazer. Henry looks so grown up in it.
