After we had breakfast, naps were in order before we could stop for lunch. Aren't all road trips simply drives in between food destinations?
We stopped for lunch after the naps, but Henry & Mommy were too busy stretching their legs & playing in the Ruby Tuesday's grassy area to take any photos.
Shortly afterwards, we needed to stop for some gas. Henry & Grandma checked out the map of New Jersey.

After reviewing our progress, Henry engaged in his new favorite pursuit: study & fascination of all things American flag related. This one was at the rest area, but Henry has developed a keen eye and will spot Old Glory on signs, buildings, lamp posts, veterans' memorials, large retail stores, pillows, Daddy's WWII posters and the like. And he lets you know with a very enthusiastic "AG" sound. We're still working on the phonics of the "FL" sound.
Once back in the car, we read and read and read.

By the time we got home, no pictures in the books were even needed!

Perhaps Henry is a future diplomat? With such a fervent love of his country from the very beginning, Henry is destined for a wonderful career in the public sector!!
