A Haircut!

After a few late winter months when we thought Henry's hair would never grow enough to actually require cutting rather than a quick snip of the ends, it finally happened. Summer hours at Mommy & Daddy's salons made getting a post-naptime haircut a challenge, so we went to Supercuts.

Henry posed for a quick before shot, highlighting the wings along his ears.

And of course he had to pose in his ocean themed cover-up.

After Mommy wet his hair, Henry exhibited a minute or two of uncharacteristic patience as the first few snips were made by the grandmother of 9 who was his stylist.

Before long, we had to break out the distractions. First, Henry decided to grab for the camera.

Then we resorted to the blow dryer (a favorite at home) and some hair clips.

Mommy had to pull out all the stops - including the pacifier - to keep Henry still, but the finished product turned out quite nicely.

Awwww, I hope you saved the first clippings. I was very emotional at Silas' first cutting, which his Daddy thought was a bit over the top. *Sigh* They really do grow up so fast.

Love the photos, thanks for sharing.
