Unwrapping started off quite diligently.

But no enthusiasm could be spared for a sweater vest!!!
Henry was quite proud of his ability to unwrap and discover the gift inside, as evidenced by the praise he displayed for himself.
Henry sat in rapt attention as Grandpa opened the gift Henry got him -- a book on birds in Connecticut for them to read.

As we returned to the toys, Henry displays the old adage that kids prefer the box to the toy inside. Henry did this all himself, with no indication of what he was trying to do.
Things came to an end on Christmas morning with a gift Mommy strategically held off until the end, knowing Henry's new-found passion for all things "bus."
Doesn't the face say it all?

Elmo arrived later in the day, but still took a backseat to the bus!
